Once again this year I’m helping cover the SeattleInternational Film Festival for The Seattle Times. That’s
where the bulk of my reviews and writing time are focused for this year’s fest.
And it’s been a fantastic slate thus far. Check out links to my reviews, and a
number of other fine writers, below.
The first collection includes my reviews of
Blindspotting, Breath, The
Guilty, Marlina the Murderer in Four Acts,
Revenge, Three Identical Strangers, and
We the Animals, all of which are bangers. Read about all of
them, and others, HERE. They’re all bangers. For the second week, I wrote up
Supa Modo, which absolutely wrecked me. (Seriously, I Claire
Danes ugly cried the entire time.) Take a look at those and others HERE.
That’s really all I have to say about that at the moment. I
just wanted to share those links with you fine folks in case the five or six of
you that aren’t Russian bots are interested in such things.
So, enjoy SIFF 2018 and be sure check out the rest of our
coverage HERE, including previews, longer reviews, roundups, and more. And check back on the regular, there’s a ton more on the way. I’ve
already been deep in it for a few weeks, and the fest just started last weekend.
There’s still so much more to go. I’m already tired, but what the hell, movies!
UPDATE:
And HERE are the links for my reviews for the third week of SIFF 2018. The list includes rap battle satire Bodied, a take on slashers in Ruin Me, and more.
ANOTHER UPDATE:
And here is the FINAL ROUNDUP from SIFF 2018. It may be the last weekend, but there's still plenty to see. Not to mention, they added a screening of A Prayer Before Dawn, one of my most anticipated movies of 2018! Get psyched, people.
