Check Out The BoneBat Comedy Of Horrors Film Festival 2018 Full Lineup

Spring has officially sprung in Seattle, so what better way to spend a (potentially) lovely weekend day than by sitting in the darkness of a movie theater watching horror movies with a bunch of weirdos? Yes, it’s that time of year again, time for the BoneBat Comedy of Horrors Film Festival. Year after year, it's definitely one of the most unique and entertaining film events in town.

If you’re familiar with BoneBat, the 2018 rendition (the eighth) doesn’t deviate much from the formula. There are two feature films, multiple blocks of shorts, and live music sprinkled in between. And probably a massive raffle in which, once again, I will win absolutely nothing. (Though Steve and Gord, the hosts of the BoneBat podcast who put on the fest, did take pity on me one year and sent me book!)

This year, the features include the Seattle debut of Another Wolf Cop, because you can never have enough Wolf Cop…

…And Double Date.

As per usual, BoneBat's shorts program collects guts, gore, and guffaws from all around the globe. Some will be great, others not so much, but you know what, no matter how you feel, they’re short! Check out the lineup.

And on the musical side of things, Ellensburg’s Devilwood will take the stage and provide the tunes. I’m not personally familiar with the group, but according to one description they play “psychedelic Americana and blood-crazed hippy blues.” Make of that what you will.

And there will be beer. There’s always beer. One of BoneBat's sponsors is always a local brewery, so there’s usually a screaming deal on suds. And as we all know, beer makes everything better.

Now to the details. The BoneBat Comedy of Horrors Film Festival 2018 goes down on Saturday, April 14 starting at 1 PM at SIFF Cinema Uptown. Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door. Which isn’t bad considering everything involved and that it runs until midnight. That works out to $3.18 an hour ($3.64 if you wait to buy tickets). Either way, that ain’t bad.
