Scott Adkins Is An Assassin-Fighting Assassin In 'Accident Man' Trailer

When you think comic book movies, you probably think dudes in tights and sky portals and that sort of nonsense. But there are also things like crews of assassins to be found on the funny book pages, which is just what we get from this Accident Man trailer. To be fair, that’s not why I’m psyched about this movie. I’m psyched about this because of Scott Adkins. He’s one of the baddest dudes on the planet, this is one of his passion projects, and he’s not only stars, he co-wrote the script.

Den of Geek dropped this trailer, and it looks 100% like my jam. This isn’t Scott Adkins’ first comic book rodeo. He had a small part in Doctor Strange, but this time he has a meatier part as an assassin who makes all of his kills look like, you guessed it, accidents. Not to mention, Adkins gets the rare opportunity to use his natural British accent. That’s fun.

And beyond Adkins, which, let’s be fair, is more than enough to get me to watch a movie, Accident Man assembled a formidable crew of DTV action luminaries. It also stars Michael Jai White (Blood and Bone), Ray “Darth Maul” Park (Star Wars, X-Men), Ray Stevenson (Punisher: War Zone), Amy Johnston (Deadpool), and Ross O’Hennessy (Game of Thrones), among others.

Tim Man (Boyka: Undisputed) has a small role and handled the fight choreography, so you know it’s top notch. And the new up-and-coming stuntman-turned-DTV-action-master Jesse V. Johnson (Triple Threat, Savage Dog) directs the whole shebang. And if that’s not enough, the movie is based on the work of Judge Dredd co-creator Pat Mills and his frequent collaborator Tony Skinner. The story originally appeared on the pages of the comic anthology Toxic! There are very good reasons why I’m excited for Accident Man.

Here’s a synopsis:

Mike Fallon, the Accident Man, is a stone cold killer, whose methodical hits, baffle the police and delight his clients, he is the best at what he does. But when a loved one is dragged into the London underworld and murdered by his own crew, Fallon is forced to rip apart the life he knew in order to hold those accountable and avenge the one person who actually meant something to him.

Nothing super special here, but I’m always down for an R-rated revenge spree. And with this cast and crew, Accident Man promises just that.
