I’m excited for Captain America: CivilWar for a number of reasons. High on that list is the introduction of
Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther. Not only does the character bring some much
needed diversity to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (maybe one day we’ll also get
more female superheroes; a guy can dream, right?)—when Creed
director Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther drops in a few years, he’ll
become the first black superhero to front his own major movie—but what we’ve
seen from the character so far has been fantastic. That continues with the
latest clip from Civil War, which is just 38 seconds of
Black Panther pummeling the Winter Soldier. Check it out.

'Keanu' (2016) Movie Review
Two of the sharpest current comedic minds, plus an adorable
kitten, taking aim at racial stereotypes of masculinity and action movie
clichés? You had me at kitten.

'Captain America: Civil War' TV Spots Delivers Even More Spider-Man
If you’re like me, you hoped that Marvel was going to keep
Spider-Man out of the marketing build up for Captain America: Civil War completely. That hope imploded when the Wall-Crawler showed up at
the tail end of the last trailer. This appears to have opened a wee bit of a
floodgate, and we’ve got some more Spidey footage in the latest TV spots. Take
a look below if you’re into such things.

'Ava's Possessions' (2015) Movie Review
Most possession movies end with the exorcism and wrap up
with a priest casting a nefarious demon from the body of an innocent, unwilling
host. Sprinkle some holy water, say a few chants, cross yourself, and call it a
day, job well done. For writer/director Jordan Galland’s sharp, clever
horror-comedy, Ava’s Possessions, however, this is the
jumping off point.
Final 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Trailer Is Full Of Adventure And Surprises
While both Marvel and DC appear to have a roadmap for their
respective superhero franchises—though they are certainly subject to change—20th
Century Fox’s X-Men series has the feeling that they studio
is just throwing things at the wall, seeing what sticks, and making it up as
they go. They basically retconned the entire original timeline out of
existence. It’s going to be interesting to see where they go with the latest
installment, X-Men: Apocalypse. But as we approach the
release date, we’ve got the final trailer, which arrives with some unexpected
bits of fan service that are sure to make hardcore followers cheer in their
seats. Watch it after the jump.

This 'Mark Of The Witch' Trailer Is Sinister And Unsettling
It may not be quite as evil a date as it could be, but June
6, 2016, a.k.a. 6/6/16, is about as evil as we’re going to get this year. Which
makes it an appropriate release date for Jason Bognacki’s upcoming horror
joint, Mark of the Witch. Formerly titled
Another, it’s been coming for a while, but now has a U.S.
release date, the new title, and a spooky new trailer.
Bone Bat Comedy Of Horrors 6: Zombies, Lovecraft, And Uncomfortable Toothbrush Placement
It's a pleasant, warm, moderately sunny spring Saturday
afternoon in Seattle. This is the kind of weather that, when it hits, people
run around the city sans shirt, because that’s just how we roll. There may be
some rain in the forecast later on, but I won't know about that. I'm about to
head indoors and spend the next 12 hours watching horror movies with a bunch of
other vitamin D deficient weirdoes at the Bone Bat Comedy of Horrors Film Festival. And I would have it any other way.

Latest 'Independence Day: Resurgence' Trailer Wrecks Up The Joint, Again
One of the movies I’m most curious to see this summer is
Independence Day: Resurgence. A while back, for another
outlet, I wrote a piece about big, blockbuster-style movies that I think could
flop like an NBA player pretending to take a charge when they’re released.
ID:R was on that list.

'Green Room' (2016) Movie Review
Being on tour isn’t nearly as glamorous as most people
think, especially for a small band, or one clinging to DIY aesthetics and
ideals. Sure, there are moments, but there is also sleeping in vans, breaking
down, shows that fall through, driving 12 hours for shows that fall through,
and, perhaps most disheartening, driving 12 hours to play a show where three
people who don’t give a shit show up and leave in the middle of the set. I’ve
been on some terrible tours over the years, played some god-awful disasters,
but never has a show or tour sucked as hard as the one in Jeremy Saulnier’s
Green Room.
Watch Matt Damon Clock A Dude In 'Jason Bourne' Trailer
Does the world need another
Bourne movie? Probably not. But that doesn’t mean we’re not
getting one, and that doesn’t mean I’m not going to watch the shit out of
Jason Bourne when it drops this summer. That was going to
happen anyway, but with the first trailer hitting the airwaves, and looking
like what you hope to see from a movie about a badass amnesiac spy, I just
might get excited for this one.

'The Magnificent Seven' Trailer Is Totally Badass
To be honest, until some photos dropped yesterday, I forgot
that Antoine Fuqua’s remake of The Magnificent Seven was
happening. But if we were sharing the same boat, Sony is doing their level best
to remind us both that this is on the way, because they just dropped the very
first trailer.

'The Windmill Massacre': Check Out First Trailer For The Dutch Horror Film
It’s been in the works for a few years, but Nick Jongerius’
English-language international horror flick The Windmill
Massacre just dropped its first trailer, and this looks like a genre
outing fans may want to keep an eye out for.

NSFW 'The Neon Demon' International Trailer Has Keanu Reeves And A Mountain Lion
Isn’t this always the case? We go for what feels like
forever not seeing much from a movie that we’re super pumped for, and when we
get the first splash it turns into a wave. I sincerely hope that’s what’s
happening with Nicolas Winding Refn’s The Neon Demon. Just yesterday
we got the very first trailer, and today we woke up to a quick new U.K. teaser.
Heads up, if you’re on the clock, maybe check to make sure your boss isn’t
looking over your shoulder, this one’s a wee bit NSFW.

The First Trailer For Nicolas Winding Refn's 'The Neon Demon' Is Dark, Sexy, And Twisted
One of the things I look forward to like little else is the arrival
of a new Nicolas Winding Refn movie. His latest, The NeonDemon, is, understandably, a film I’ve been keeping an eye on for
quite some time. Though it hits later this year, we haven’t seen much, aside
from a handful of stills and posters. That is, until today. The first trailer
for the modeling-world-set horror thriller just dropped, and it’s dark, sexy,
and twisted. Check it out after the jump.

'Criminal' (2016) Movie Review
I’m all for actors reinventing themselves later on in their
careers, especially when it involves turning to gritty, low and mid-budget
genre fare. Thus far, however, Liam Neeson has had the lion’s share of the
success when it comes to claiming this more mature action hero status, though
guys like Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger never really vacated
their thrones. Sean Penn and Pierce Brosnan both tried their hand at it over
the last few years, with less than stellar results. Kevin Costner is no
stranger to thrillers, and though he took a swing and whiffed with 3Days to Kill, he’s back to give it another go with
Criminal.

The First 'Doctor Strange' Trailer Is Psychedelic And Full Of Magic
Marvel takes a lot of flack for their movies being a bit
same-y, which isn’t an entirely unfounded complaint. They’ve taken steps to mix
things up lately, most notably with Guardians of the Galaxy,
but later this year they’re going to take things in an entirely different
direction with Doctor Strange. And if you need proof that
this is like nothing we’ve witnessed thus far in the MCU, check out the new
trailer that just hit the airwaves.

The 'Suicide Squad' Trailer From The MTV Movie Awards Is A Goddamn Blast
Okay, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
was something of a letdown—I didn’t hate it like many, but it wasn’t great. But
that doesn’t mean I’ve given up on the DC Extended Universe just yet. I have
hope for Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and that
solo Batman joint they might give Ben Affleck. Oh yeah, and there’s
Suicide Squad, which looks like a complete and total blast
(something BvS most certainly is not). If you’re not already
on this train, check out the new trailer that just dropped.
'Green Room' Red Band Trailer Breaks Bones And Unleashes The Hounds
At least for a while, I can’t say much about it, but Jeremy
Saulnier’s follow up to Blue Ruin, Green Room, is awesome. It’s one of my favorite movies that I’ve seen this
year, and there have already been a surprising number of fantastic movies thus
far in 2016. It hits theaters soon, and to mark the occasion, A24 dropped a
vicious new red band trailer for you to take a look at.
'Deadpool' May Help 'The Goon' Animated Movie Get Made
If you’re not familiar with Eric Powell’s The
Goon, you should change that immediately. It’s simply one of the best
comics of the modern era, a throw-back mash-up of Depression-era pulp stylistics,
supernatural horror, and comedy that also manages to tell some of the most
emotionally devastating tales while all dressed up gratuitous, over-the-top
violence and crude, bawdy humor. An animated movie has been in the works since
1999—there was even a proof of concept video—but there has been little news
since back in 2013. Little news, that is, until now.
Korean Thriller 'Insane' Trailer Is Dark And Grim
The idea of being locked up for a crime you didn’t commit,
or being institutionalized when you know you’re not crazy,
the victim of sinister exterior forces, is fertile cinematic territory.
Insane, Korean director Lee Cheol-ha’s new thriller, looks
to dive deep into this realm, and there’s a tense new trailer to check out.

This 'Henchman: The Al Leong Story' Trailer Gives One Of Cinema's Greatest Villains His Due
Even if you don’t know his name, you know Al Leong’s face. An
eternal villain, he’s the star of dozens of incredible action movies from the
1980s and ‘90s. Rarely the main big bad, he’s the scary-as-hell goon you have
to go through to get to the boss, and now the man, the myth, the legend is getting his due in Vito
Trabucco’s documentary, Henchman: The Al Leong Story, which
just dropped a first teaser trailer.

Watch The 'Rogue One: A Star Wars Story' Trailer Here
If you’re anything like me, you spent most of today checking to see if your boss was around so you could watch this new Rogue One: A Star Wars Story teaser trailer. Totally worth the risk, right? If you haven’t checked it out yet for some reason, you should take the opportunity to do so below. Again, totally worth it.
'Everybody Wants Some!!' (2016) Movie Review
A so-called spiritual sequel to 1993’s Dazed and Confused, Richard Linklater’s latest, Everybody Wants Some!!
(yes, two exclamation points, like the van Halen song that inspired the title),
is admittedly a good deal of fun. That said, that's really all it is. Despite
the similar trappings of aimless youth finding themselves in the big wide
world—this time at the start of college in 1980 instead of the end of high
school in 1976—Everybody Wants Some!! lacks the weight and
substance of its predecessor, spiritual or otherwise.

Nicolas Winding Refn's 'The Neon Demon' Gets Two Gorgeous New Posters
Anytime Nicolas Winding Refn makes a movie, it’s an event
that will have my full, undivided attention. The director of
Drive, Only God Forgives,
Bronson, Valhalla Rising, and more is a
damn hit factory, so I’m understandably excited for The Neon Demon, which just dropped two slick new posters.
'Swiss Army Man' Trailer: Daniel Radcliffe Is A Farting, Puking, Jet Ski Of A Corpse
When it premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this
year, reviews for Swiss Army Man were not all that great. But
this is such a bizarre, WTF-inducing premise that it was going to get looked at
no matter what. Even if you don’t know the title, you probably heard of this as
the farting corpse movie starring Harry Potter himself as the corpse. Well, a
new trailer is here, and it’s as bonkers as you expect, possibly even more so.

Here's Your First Look At The 'Batman: The Killing Joke' Animated Movie
Along with Frank Miller’s work on comics like
Batman: Year One and The Dark Knight Returns,
Alan Moore and Brian Bolland’s Batman: The Killing Joke is
perhaps the most influential story on the Caped Crusader’s modern iteration—it
helped define the character as we currently know him. The 1988 one-off graphic
novel is dark and disturbing and the ramifications are still felt today. There
has been talk of adapting it before, but an animated version is on the way, and
now we have our first look in the form of a teaser and new featurette. Start
getting psyched.

'John Wick 2' Gets A Suitably Badass Official Synopsis
Without a doubt, John Wick was my
favorite movie of 2014. It wasn’t even close. This is the kind of
stripped-down, no frills action I grew up on and that all-too-rarely gets made
these days, especially outside of the DTV realm. It doesn’t hurt that, in the
hands of former stunt coordinators-turned-directors David Leitch and Chad
Stahelski, the fight scenes and gun battles were magnificently staged, shot,
and executed. John Wick: Chapter 2 is in the works, and
while there have only been hints and clues about the story, we now have an
official synopsis.
