Movie fans, and really even non-movie fans, around the world
are all kinds of amped up about the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens. It’s to the point where we’re pouring over every frame of
the most recent trailer, examining any toy or coloring book we can get our
hands on, and reading into every last image trying to glean any possible nugget
of information. Lucasfilm just released a handful of new character posters, and
while they don’t reveal much in the way of information, they are damn cool.
The new images show returners Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and
Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher)—though still no Luke Skywalker for you conspiracy
theorists out there—and newcomers Rey (Daisy Ridley), Finn (John Boyega), and
Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). Like I said, there isn’t too much to read into, though
the fact that Finn’s poster features a lightsaber is going to intensify the
questions about whether or not he or Rey will wind up being skilled in the ways
of the Force. We’ll have to wait and see on that front.
