Just the simple fact of a new Scott Adkins movie is enough
to get us pumped up around these parts, but it doesn’t hurt that his next film,
Eliminators, sounds awesome. Sure, the name may call to mind
some unfortunate bodily functions, but aside from that the details are all
solid.

This Trailer For Turkish Horror 'Baskin' Will Give You Messed Up Nightmares
Well, this is going to give you nightmares. If you’re
fortunate enough to be at the Toronto International Film Festival soon, and can
stay awake through the Midnight Madness portion of the program, and have the
stomach for fucked up horror, you might want to check out the premiere of the nasty
demonic Turkish flick Baskin. Check out the new trailer and
you’ll be able to tell whether you want to see this or not, there’s not going
to be a lot of ambivalence.

'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Footage Hands A Lightsaber To John Boyega
Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick. It really doesn’t take much
to get me excited. Star Wars: The Force Awakens just did it
with a few seconds of new footage. But what a few seconds. Holy shit. Check out
the Instagram post below.
'Turbo Kid' Movie Review
George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road may
have ruled the post-apocalyptic subgenre this summer, but TurboKid a retro throwback to the low-budget Mad Max
knock-offs of the early 1980s, and is a total blast beginning to end that you need to check out. Originally
envisioned as an entry for the first ABCs of Death anthology
(“T is for Toilet” made the cut instead), it’s an awesome opus in itself.

'Hard Target 2' Shoots This Fall With John Woo Producing, Don't Hold Your Breath For Jean-Claude Van Damme
With Jean-Claude Van Damme sporting that greasy, Jheri curl
mullet, John Woo’s 1993 Hard Target, the Hong Kong action
auteur’s first American film, is admittedly a wee bit cheesy. However, out of
all of his subsequent films, it’s also the most similar to action classics like
Hard Boiled, A Better Tomorrow,
The Killer, and the others he built his reputation on. And
now it’s getting a sequel.

Scott Adkins Kicks Cartel Ass In This 'Close Range' Trailer
Any time there’s news about a Scott Adkins movie, that’s a big
day for me. He’s one of the premiere cinematic badasses currently working
anywhere in the world, and he’s responsible for some of the best gritty, old
school actioners of the last few years. When he teams with director Isaac
Florentine, that’s even better, as the two have teamed up on such modern
classics as Ninja 2: Shadow of a Tear and
Undisputed 3. Now they’re back with Close
Range, and you can check out a brand new trailer after the jump.

'Sinister 2' Movie Review
Scott Derrickson’s 2012 horror joint
Sinister doesn’t break from the well worn horror path, full
of genre tropes like creepy little kids, the sound of footsteps when no one is
there, and a perpetually dark house, even in the middle of the day. Still, it
managed to be atmospheric, genuinely eerie, and was a solid fright fest.
Unfortunately, Ciaran Foy’s Sinister 2 doesn’t deliver in
the same manner.
'American Ultra' Movie Review
Under normal circumstances, I hate calling a movie an
interesting failure, but in the case of director Nima Nourizadeh’s
American Ultra, that’s the most apt description I can
conjure. There’s a kernel of a clever idea here, as well as a few bits worth
closer examination, but it feels like its stoner protagonist wrote the movie,
and continually misses opportunities to satirize and the sleeper agent spy
films like the Bourne franchise, like it obviously wants,
and develop into anything more than a string of scenes someone thought would be
awesome.

'The Witch' Trailer Will Creep You Out All Day Long
Robert Egger’s debut horror film, The
Witch, stirred up quite a fuss back at the Sundance Film Festival in
January, and it’s been a movie I’ve been fiending to see ever since. We still
have a while to wait, but A24 just released a terrifying new trailer. Check it
out after the jump.
'The Martian' Trailer: Watch Matt Damon Science The Shit Out Of Mars
Being stuck alone on Mars must suck. That’s the general
feeling you get from the new trailer for Ridley Scott’s The Martian. But Matt Damon isn’t going to take that situation lying
down, and he’s going to science the shit out of this and find a way to survive.

Watch The 'Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance' Trailer And Get Psyched, You Know You Want To
Just in case you didn’t know this, I’m rather jazzed about
the upcoming Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance. Yes, that is a
sequel to the gonzo 1991 actioner, and this shit is going to be super awesome.
The movie starts rolling out in October, and here’s the official trailer to get
you pumped.
Watch 3 'Mad Max: Fury Road' Deleted Scenes
In case you’re one of the people who, for some unfathomable
reason, missed it in the theaters, Mad Max: Fury Road, the
best action movie of the year, is hitting the home video market. It’s already
available via digital download, and Blu-ray on September 1. One of the features
is a trio of deleted scenes, and now you can watch them below. Enjoy.

Tons Of 'Star Wars' News From D23, Including The First Look At The 'Rogue One' Cast
Disney’s D23 Expo is currently going on right now, and while
I have almost zero interest in being there in person (crowds stress me the hell
out), this year is interesting solely because of Star Wars
(I don’t care about being the first to see new Marvel stuff, not even at all).
We’ve already heard that there won’t be any new footage from The ForceAwakens, but there are a ton of other things going on in that far,
far away galaxy, and Disney and Lucasfilm unveiled some new info about the future
of the franchise, and there’s a few badass nuggets to be sure.

Shane Black's 'Predator' Plans To Recreate The Franchise
I’m one of the few people who seems to enjoy
Predators. Sure, it’s not Predator, nor
is it even Predator 2, but it’s a damn sight better than
either of the Alien vs. Predator movies we were subjected
to. Last year we learned that Shane Black is writing and directing a new
Predator movie, which is promising for a number of reasons,
but the new film plans to reinvent and reinvigorate the franchise.
Check Out The Trailer For 'Bang Bang Baby,' A Rock And Roll, High School, Mutant Musical
Well this looks bizarre enough to be a total blast. If
you’ve been looking for a hyper-stylized, 1960s-set horror musical,
Bang Bang Baby might be just what you’re looking for. Check
out the trailer after the jump; I don’t think you’ve ever encountered a movie
quite like this before.
The 'Portal To Hell!!!' Trailer Is Here, Stop What You're Doing And Watch Roddy Piper's Final Performance
We lost a true giant recently when professional wrestler
turned action badass “Rowdy” Roddy Piper passed away. I didn’t even write about
it because I couldn’t figure out how to quantify the impact movies like
They Live and Hell Comes to Frogtown, not
to mention his career in the squared circle, had on me in words. Fortunately
for fans everywhere, he has one last film on the way, and it’s a doozy: be
battles the ancient evil that is Cthulhu. And now the first trailer for horror
short Portal to Hell!!! has arrived to make you both ecstatically
happy and brutally sad at the same time.

Dolph Lundgren Is Filming 'Kindergarten Cop 2' Right Now
If you’ve been waiting for 25 years for ArnoldSchwarzenegger to reprise his role as Detective John Kimble for
Kindergarten Cop 2, that’s not happening
(Triplets is about as close as you’re going to get). But if
you’ve been waiting to hear the words “Dolph Lundgren is starring in
Kindergarten Cop 2,” today is your lucky day, because that
is something that’s happening.

'The Hateful Eight' Trailer: Quentin Tarantino's Latest Western Looks Grim And Badass
Any time Quentin Tarantino drops a new movie, it’s going to
be a big deal. That much is a given. When it’s a western with a stacked cast,
like his upcoming The Hateful Eight, well, to say we’re
excited is an understatement. We’ve seen photos and random whatnots from the
film, but now we have our first trailer, and it looks like a damn fine time.
Check Out These New 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Photos, Plus New Kylo Ren Details
As of yesterday, we know that we’re not going to see any new
footage of Star Wars: The Force Awakens—not a trailer or
anything else—come out of D23 this weekend (I'm hoping for some Rogue One information, or maybe they'll confirm this or this). But don’t worry if that quick
snipped of new footage the other day left you starving for more, because this
morning arrived with a bunch of new photos to peruse.

'The Man From U.N.C.L.E.' Movie Review: Sometimes Slick And Fun Is Good Enough
If you’ve ever seen a Guy Ritchie film, especially the likes
of Snatch and Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking
Barrels, you won’t be surprised by what you get in his update of the
1960s spy serial The Man From U.N.C.L.E.. Fast-paced and
energetic, full of handsome heroes and a sultry villainess, and hyper-stylized,
this isn’t a particularly deep movie, but it is an entertaining espionage romp
that provides a decent amount of amusement.
'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' Reveals New Footage In South Korean TV Spot
Still a few months out, we’re hungry for anything related to
Star Wars: The Force Awakens. We’ll probably get one
breadcrumb or another this weekend at D23, a new South Korean TV spot for J.J.
Abrams journey into that far, far away galaxy has brief taste to tide us over.
Maybe it’s more akin to a faint aroma wafting on a breeze; it’s not much, but
it’s something.

Werner Herzog's 'Ant-Man' Would Have Been So Much Better Than Marvel's
Cards on the table, I still haven’t seen Marvel’s latest
superhero opus Ant-Man. I’m lazy and broke leaving the house
is stupid. Even though I haven’t seen it and can’t personally attest to the
film’s quality, or lack thereof, I can’t help but know for a fact that it would
have been better directed by dour German auteur Werner Herzog. Most movies
would be better with him at the helm, and this new video that envisions the
Fitzcarraldo director at the helm of a major comic book movie
serves to prove that point. Check it out after the jump.
Motörhead's Lemmy And Slayer's Tom Araya Join Silent Supernatural German Western
The German movie Gutterdämmerung is being
billed as “the loudest silent movie on Earth,” and the batshit crazy sounding
supernatural western fairy tale—yes, you read that right—just got way louder,
adding Lemmy Kilmister from Motörhead and Tom Araya from Slayer.

'Fantastic Four' Movie Review
Fox’s new superhero reboot Fantastic Four
had a rocky production, to put it mildly. There were rumors of rampant studio
interference, director Josh Trank butting heads with the producers and writers,
and even reports that X-Men: First Class director Matthew
Vaughn was brought in for reshoots. These last reports were roundly denied,
though that doesn’t exactly bode well for a movie. Building up to the release,
both producer Simon Kinberg and star Miles Teller have used the phrase, “not a
disaster,” to describe the film, and it’s not, at least not entirely.
'Dark Places' Movie Review: Some Places Should Stay Dark
The Charlize Theron-starring mystery thriller Dark Places finally opening in theaters marks the end of a long, strange
journey. Based on the novel by author Gillian Flynn, the film has been in the
can for a while now—principal photography wrapped in 2013—and with the hype
surrounding Gone Girl last year, also adapted from a Flynn
novel, it would have made sense to release it then to capitalize on the
attention. Instead, it languished on the shelf, hitting theaters in France in
April, and was actually available to DirecTV customers back in June.

'I Saw The Devil' Director Kim Jee-Woon Sets 'Secret Agent' As His Next Film
Kim Jee-woon’s A Bittersweet Life is one
of my all-time favorite movies. That fact alone is enough to get me interested
in anything else he ever does, but when that includes the likes of A
Tale of Two Sisters, I Saw the Devil, and
The Good, The Bad, The Weird, it doesn’t hurt matters at
all. For his next project, he’s teaming up with Warner Bros. for a movie called
Secret Agent.
The 'Deadpool' Trailers Are Here And They Rule
Coming out of San Diego Comic-Con, one of the movies that
generated the most chatter was Deadpool, and while we had to
wait for it, we’ve now got not one, but two badass new trailers for Merc with
the Mouth’s new solo joint. And if the character’s less than stellar debut in
X-Men Origins: Wolverine filled you with doubt and fear,
those should be assuaged after you get your first look.

'Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance' Official Poster And Release Date
Can I get a Hell Yeah, or an Amen, or a Fuck Yes, or even a
smug, satisfied nod? Samurai Cop 2: Deadly Vengeance just
dropped a new poster and now we know when we’ll get to see the long-awaited
sequel. At least when some of us will get to see it.
