Ramen Hui’s upcoming Monster Hunt is
going to be a sight to behold. As you can see in this first trailer, it’s a
period piece, a comedic fantasy adventure, a kid-friendly romp, and features a
pregnant dude who gives birth to a monster that looks like an albino turnip. Yeah.

Hui is most known for his work as an animator and director
at Dreamworks, contributing to Shrek, even helming the third
film, as well as working on the How to Train Your Dragon TV
show. That experience is definitely evident in the creature design and overall
tone of this trailer.
This is Edko Films (House of Flying
Daggers) most expensive film to date, and looks it, with tons of creatures and sweeping action sequences. Check out the Monster
