Mad Max: Fury Road. At this point, those
four words fill me with an indescribable glee. Everything we’ve seen from
George Miller’s return to the post-apocalyptic wastes he first visited in 1979
is totally nuts. Now, in addition to the crazy trailers and posters, we’ve got
no less than six clips from what is easily our most anticipated movie of 2015
(hell, it’s been in the can long enough that it was also our most anticipated
movie of 2013 and 2013).
We’ve heard that Fury Road is essentially
one long chase scene, which is promising. And we’ve also heard that star Tom
Hardy, who takes over the role of Max Rockatansky that launched Mel Gibson into
superstardom, only has between four and twenty lines. While we get some talking
in this footage, there are also long stretches of silence, which shows a
sparse, mad world. Can’t wait.
Mad Max: Fury Road hits theaters on May
15. I’ll stop talking now since there’s no way words can do this footage
justice. Check the clips out below.
