Sono Sion is a madman, and a prolific one to boot. The
Japanese auteur of crazy has no less than six movies set to drop this year, one
of which is Tag, which, as you can see in this bananas new
trailer, is not particularly nice to Japanese school girls.
Tag is an adaptation of Riaru
Onigokko, a novel by Yamada Yusuke, and the general idea is that
young girls have become the target of angry, murderous ghosts. That sounds like
something right up this wonderful lunatic’s alley, and as you can see, the
myriad ways these young women meet their ends get rather inventive.
Tag hits Japanese theaters on July 11,
but there’s no word when the rest of us will be able to see it. Let’s hope it’s
