If you’ve been waiting all day to see Tom Cruise hang onto
the side of an airplane while Simon Pegg watches in horror, you’re in luck,
because the first full trailer for Mission: Impossible—Rogue
Nation, which is a mouthful of a title, dropped online, and it looks
like a pretty damn good time.
Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, Rogue
Nation stars Cruise, Pegg, Alec Baldwin, Jeremy Renner, Ving Rhames, Rebecca
Ferguson, Sean Harris, and more. The action finds the Impossible Mission Force
disbanded, again, but coming back together to take down the nefarious
syndicate, which is described in this video as both a “rogue nation” and the “anti-IMF.”
I’m not sure exactly what that means, but there’s fast motorcycle riding,
shirtless running, exotic locations, and all the high action and mystery you’ve
come to expect from the franchise. And I’m pretty sure a woman breaks a dude’s
neck with her crotch, so there’s that to look forward to.
Mission: Impossible—Rogue Nation opens
everywhere July 31.
