Seriously, I didn’t think I could be more excited for
Mad Max: Fury Road, but then they went ahead and released
this new trailer, and I have to admit that I’m even more stoked for George
Miller’s return to the post-apocalyptic wastes than I even thought possible. By
the time the May 15 release date rolls around, I’m going to be foaming at the
mouth.

Fox Buys 'Leviathan'; Warner Bros. Picks Up 'Sundays'
It’s a good time to have a kickass sci-fi short making the
rounds, as two of the coolest proof-of-concept genre offerings,
Leviathan and Sundays, are moving forward
with feature length versions a major studios. And more fantastic sci-fi is one
of our favorite things in the world.
This 'Terminator: Genisys' Trailer Shows Off Its Oscar Winner
While the earlier promotion for Terminator:Genisys has primarily focused on reintroducing the new versions of
characters you know and love—Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke), John Connor (Jason
Clarke), Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney), the T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger)—this latest
short U.K. trailer takes a different approach. They fly the “we’ve got an
Oscar-winner in our movie” flag high, spending a fair amount of the minute-long
run time showing off J.K. Simmons. Which is never a bad move.

'Spectre': James Bond Is Back In This Tense, Mysterious Trailer
The first trailer for the next James Bond movie,
Spectre, just dropped, and it should go a long ways to
getting you pumped for Sam Mendes sophomore take on the most famous spy in
movie history. If you’ve been waiting to for mystery, suspense, and a SPECTRE
ring on the screen for the first time since 1971, you’re in luck, because it
has all of those things.

'Friday The 13th' Remake Will Be Found Footage And Explain Why No One Can Kill Jason Voorhees
The 2009 Friday the 13th reboot isn’t he
worst thing I’ve ever seen; it isn’t great, but it doesn’t like ruin my
favorite horror franchise for me or anything. (I maintain they’re all good, or
at least watchable, up to Jason Takes Manhattan.) It sounds
like the next revisitation, however, just might accomplish that feat.

Watch Tony Jaa Kick Ass In This 'SPL 2' Trailer
Tony Jaa fighting his way through a prison. You’re movie
doesn’t need much more than that to have my full, undivided attention. Fortunately,
if this trailer for SPL 2 (Sha Po Lang 2)
is to be believed, there’s that and more, like a bus driving through a wall and
people stealing human organs.

Watch Tom Cruise Hang Onto A Plane In This 'Mission: Impossible-Rogue Nation' Trailer
If you’ve been waiting all day to see Tom Cruise hang onto
the side of an airplane while Simon Pegg watches in horror, you’re in luck,
because the first full trailer for Mission: Impossible—Rogue
Nation, which is a mouthful of a title, dropped online, and it looks
like a pretty damn good time.
Neill Blomkamp And Simon Kinberg To Turn Incredible Sci-Fi Short 'Leviathan' Into A Feature
A while back, a proof of concept video for Ruairi Robinson’s
(The Last Days on Mars) incredible looking sci-fi
Leviathan made the rounds. All you could do was gape at
awesome looking flying beast monsters and wish with every fiber of your being
that this was a real movie. And now it’s going to be, and it’s bringing a
couple of big Hollywood names along for the ride.

This Japanese 'Mad Max: Fury Road' Trailer Is Like Your Adrenal Glands Getting Kicked In The Nuts
It just really needs to go right ahead and be May 15
already. Or at least I just need to sleep from now until Furious 7 on April 7, from then until Avengers: Age of Ultron
on May 1, and then until. Mad Max: Fury Road hits on May 1.
After that I can stay awake for a while. Although, after watching this new
international Fury Road trailer, sleep maybe hard, as this
is like your adrenal glands just got kicked in the nuts.
'The Gunman' Movie Review: Continues The Aging Tough Guy Action Renaissance
Bookended by news clips and stock footage of Western exploitation of the people and resources of the Congo, you may be forgiven for thinking Pierre Morel’s new thriller The Gunman has larger political aspirations. This element feels tailor made for star Sean Penn, who also gets a shared screenwriting credit for helping adapt Jean-Patrick Manchette’s novel The Prone Gunman. Instead, what you get is another in a line of action vehicles for aging actors looking for a late career revitalization. Morel, is, after all, the guy who helmed Taken and helped transform Liam Neeson into an onscreen ass kicking machine, so who better to take the lead here?

'Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter' Movie Review: The High Cost Of Dreams
In 2013, everyone fell in love with that scene-stealing cat
from the Coen Brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis. If there is any
justice in this cold cruel world—and if the movie is any indication, there
isn’t—everyone is going to go similarly nuts for Bunzo, the adorable rabbit in
David Zellner’s Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter. They’re both
adorable and precocious, hell, they’re even the same color and serve a similar
narrative function: to comfort our protagonists as their lives come undone
around them, and as a symbol of all that they lose and give up in the pursuit
of an unattainable dream.
'Insurgent' Movie Review: A Murderous Fever Dream Mixed With Tepid Teen Melodrama
The Divergent Series: Insurgent, the
latest chapter in The Hunger Games heir apparent, is a
flaming-hot, crazy-ass train wreck. And I mean that in both the most
entertaining and terrible ways possible. To be sure, this is a significant
improvement over the previous film in the family, 2014’s
Divergent. It’s not without serious flaws, and I don’t know
if I’d go so far to call it good or actually recommend it, but while it can be
tedious and asinine, random weirdness and strange flourishes mean it can also
be pretty damn entertaining.

This 'Before I Wake' Trailer Makes You Never Want To Go To Sleep
I’ve said it many times before, and I’m sure I’ll have cause
to say it again, but little kids are creepy, especially in horror movies. If
you need any further proof, just check out this trailer for Mike Flanagan’s
(Oculus) new film, Before I Wake, it’ll
make you never want to go to sleep again.

"'71" Movie Review: A Tense, Visceral Story Of A Soldier On The Run
Watching ’71, it’s easy to see why Jack
O’Connell caused so much heat in 2014. Seeing what he’s able to do here, in
Yann Demange’s story of a young soldier abandoned in the violent streets of
Belfast in 1971, it makes Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken, where
he also plays the lead, even more of a disappointment. As incredible as
O’Connell is, however, ’71 is much more than just a stage
for the on-the-rise actor, and the film is a gripping,
so-tense-you-can-hardly-bear-it story of survival and the horrors of war. It
also marks Demange, who makes his feature directorial debut after working
extensively in television, as a talent to watch right along side his star.
'Run All Night' Movie Review: Messing With Liam Neeson's Family Is Still A Bad Idea
Liam Neeson has now teamed up with director Jaume
Collet-Serra three times, and while none of the trio of action-thrillers—Unknown,
Non-Stop, and now Run All Night—exactly
lit the world on fire, the latest is easily the best of the bunch. There are
absolutely no surprises to be found—if you’ve seen the trailers, you know
precisely what movie you’re getting—but while it is drastically overlong, if
you’re looking for a gritty tale of survival and revenge that feels like it
hails from a bygone era, you can do much worse than Run All
Night. Solid action and a strong cast elevate the material, which
also gains points for the excellent use of a Pogues song.
Steven Seagal's 'Code Of Honor' Starts Production
I’m generally in the minority on this front, but I still
consider Steven Seagal a viable movie star. His output isn’t as
consistently top notch as early in his career, when he stormed the world with
films like Above the Law, Hard to Kill,
Marked for Death, and Out for Justice,
which are still his best, and were followed directly by Under Siege.
It hasn’t even been as strong as his best DTV run in the early part of the
millennium. Still, I get a faint stir of excitement in my belly when I hear of
a new Seagal project, and that happened again today as his latest,
Code of Honor, has started production.

'Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor' Issue #8 Review
This week brought us all kinds of Doctor Who action, at least as far as the pages of comic books are
concerned. We saw The Eleventh Doctor, an uneven narrative
experience to be sure, deliver what might be the strongest issue in its run, or
at least a nice piece of the best arc they’ve explored thus far. Now
Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor, which has been the high point
of the continuing titles published by Titan Comics, drop another new issue,
number eight.
Play This 'Kurt Cobain: Montage Of Heck' Trailer Loud
For a kid from the Pacific Northwest, of just the right age
to feel the full force of the impact, I never got super into Nirvana. They were
fine, and you can’t help but recognize the massive impact they had, and
continue to have, on popular culture, but I never mooned over them like much of
my generation. That doesn’t, however, mean I don’t find Kurt Cobain a fascinating
figure, and as such, I’m totally intrigued to watch the new documentary,
Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, which just dropped a new trailer
after debuting at Sundance.
This 'Skin Trade' Trailer Illustrates Why You Never Blow Up Dolph Lundren's Family
You never blow up Dolph Lundgren’s family, that lesson should
be day one of Movie Villain 101. It’s not going to end well for you, it just
isn’t. And if you manage to involve Tony Jaa, at this point you’re digging your
own grave. These are the basic pieces of information you learn from the new
trailer for the Ekachai Uekrongtham-directed actioner Skin Trade that just hit over at Yahoo.

This 'Roar' Trailer Is The Wildest Thing You'll See All Year
Well this is totally insane. If you lament the fact that
there are not enough people living among lions in order to lend an air of
authenticity to their films, you might want to check out this trailer for the rerelease
of 1981’s bonkers Roar. For eleven years, real life couple
Tippi Hedren and Noel Marshall, with a very young Melanie Griffith, Hedren’s
daughter, in tow, filmed an epic wilderness adventure in their own back yard,
and that’s exactly what this film looks like.
There Are Only Dark Corners In This 'Daredevil' Trailer
Okay, I’m in. Daredevil is my all time
favorite comic, and after the debacle of the Ben Affleck version, I’ve been
skeptical about Marvel’s upcoming series on Netflix. Over time, however, I’ve
allowed myself to become cautiously optimistic, and after this new trailer, our
longest, most in-depth look yet, I’m officially excited.

These 'Portal To Hell' Set Photos Show Roddy Piper Tangle With An Ancient Evil
We’ve been stupidly excited for Vivieno Cladinelli and Matt
Watts’ Portal to Hell since the very first second we heard
about it. Come on, how can you not be stoked-beyond-words for “Rowdy” Roddy
Piper battling Cthulhu? Even better was when it was announced that it will be a
feature-length film (it was originally envisioned as a short), and the fact
that production is underway has us dancing around with glee. And just to prove
that this is really happening, Twitch has a handful of stills from the set.

'The Connection' Red Band Trailer Makes The Drop
William Friedkin’s The French Connection
is one of the greatest American action movies of the 1970s, or any era for that
matter. That iconic car chase changed the genre forever. New French crime
thriller, The Connection, uses the same true-life situation
as a base, showing the story from the other side of the Atlantic, and as you
can see in this new red band trailer and poster, it captures a similar grim,
gritty aesthetic and feel as its predecessor.

Strap In For This Extended 'Furious 7' Trailer
If you’re familiar with this site at all, you know we’re
rather excited for Furious 7 around these parts. Every
subsequent piece of promotion released just ups the ante even further, making
this look like the most bananas action movie we’ve ever seen, and that includes
this new extended trailer.

'Unfinished Business' Movie Review
Unfinished Business, the new Vince
Vaughn-fronted comedy from director Ken Scott (who teamed with Vaughn on the
sperm-donor comedy Delivery Man) and writer Steve Conrad
(The Secret Life of Walter Mitty), can’t decide what movie
it wants to be.
Watch Jean-Claude Van Damme Battle My Little Pony, Yes, You Read That Right
Well this is the best thing I’ve seen all week. Over the
years, Jean-Claude Van Damme has battled many foes—his evil twin, Tong Po, a
nefarious denim counterfeiting ring, and the dude who played War Child in
Point Break, just to name a few—but perhaps none quite as
vicious as My Little Pony.

'Doctor Who: The Eleventh Doctor' Issue #9 Takes Care Of Business Like Never Before
Over its run, which his now nine issues deep, Titan Comics’
Doctor Who: The Eleventh Doctor has been an inconsistent, up
and down affair. Every time it appears that it’s headed in the right direction,
it takes a step backwards. That said, the last couple of issues have followed a
notable upward trajectory, which continues with the latest installment, “Rise
and Fall.”
Watching This 'Avengers: Age Of Ultron Trailer' Will Be The Best Two Minutes Of Your Day
This new trailer for Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron is so, so badass. There’s almost too much to love going on
here, including Hulk flinging robots around, James Spader proving again that he
was the perfect choice to voice the villainous AI Ultron, the growing rift
between Captain America and Tony Stark, Quicksilver smacking Cap across the
face, and the first footage of the Vision, among other things. You need to stop
reading and watch for yourself.

UFC Champ Ronda Rousey Teams Up With The Raid's Iko Uwais For Actioner 'Mile 22'
At UFC 184 last weekend, Ronda Rousey demonstrated again that she’s easily the best women’s MMA fighter in the world by defeating clear-cut number one contender Cat Zingano in 14 seconds. 14 seconds. Hell, she’s the most dominant champ in the sport in any division, male or female. She’s also following in the footsteps of Gina Carano and kicking a lot of ass on the big screen as well. Last summer she showed up in Expendables 3, next months joins Vin Diesel and company in Furious 7, and we just heard a report that she’s teaming up with Iko Uwais, one of the baddest and most underrated action stars in the world.

Marvel's 'Daredevil' Reveals Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin In These New Photos
There aren’t many actors who can play Wilson Fisk, aka The
Kingpin, in the Marvel Universe. The man is a monster, just a behemoth that
routinely kicks the crap out of superheroes with his bare hands and his evil
schemes. We’ll have to wait until the April 10 premiere of Netflix’s
Daredevil to see if Vincent D’Onofrio can truly pull it off,
but in these new photos, he certainly looks the part.

These 'Furious 7' TV Spots Take You From Fast To Fury To Crazy
If what we’ve seen thus far is to be believed,
Furious 7 certainly does take crazy to a whole other level.
Seriously, this is like everything I’ve ever wanted out of a movie. There are
cars parachuting out of planes, cars jumping from skyscraper to skyscraper, and
these two new TV spots just make me drool uncontrollably.

Bruce Lee Is Getting An Official, Family-Sanctioned Biopic
Bruce Lee is the ultimate cinematic badass. You can make arguments
for a handful of others to take that throne, but it’s nigh on impossible to
come up with one truly knocks him out of the top spot. Over the years there
have been a number of biopics—the wildly inaccurate Dragon, Manfred
Wong’s Bruce Lee, My Brother (aka Young Bruce
Lee and a few other titles), and he even shows up in the Ip Man films—but now we’re getting an official story complete with
backing from his family.
