'Boyka: Undisputed': Scott Adkins Looks For Redemption And People To Kick In The Face In Full Trailer

We heard it was coming this month, and they waited until the last minute, but dammit, we still got the full trailer for Boyka: Undisputed, the fourth in the Scott Adkins-starring, ass-kicking franchise, and it is good. Check it out after the jump.

The plot is simple, but fitting for the gritty, DTV franchise. After getting out of that gnarly Eastern bloc prison, Boyka is shooting for the big time. After all, his particular skill set is in high demand these days. But when he accidentally kills his opponent in the ring, everything changes for him and he goes on a quest for redemption. While still kicking lots of people in the face.

There are some sweet new bad guys, like the sleazy rich butthole pulling all the strings behind the scenes, and his giant, Hannibal Lector-style champ. Seriously, they lead him to the ring in a mask and chains like some kind of wild berserker. Love it. And of course he fights for a lady, though it’s the wife of the dude he killed, which is sure to complicate things.

Originally Boyka was said to be another team up between Scott Adkins and director Isaac Florentine, who delivered last two Undisputed movies and the two excellent Ninja films, among others. According to the end credits on this trailer, however, Todor Chapkanov, a Bulgarian filmmaker who specializes in TV movies, is listed in that slot. Depending on where you look, Florentine is still listed as director, but on other sources others he’s not. I don’t really care who directed this, because it looks like just my kind of flick either way, but it’s strange and throws an unknown into the equation. With Adkins/Florentine you know what you’re in for, but now things are more of a mystery.

Boyka: Undisputed should hit sometime in 2016.
